Scientific Games Corporation in partnership with Resorts Digital Gaming will continue providing New Jersey gamblers with online casino games, following a renewal of their agreement.
Both the Resorts Casino Atlantic City and the Mohegan Sun Casino, in Uncasville, Connecticut, partnered with Scientific Games in 2015 to use the OpenGaming platform. OpenGaming has hundreds of online slot titles, as well as an all-encompassing selection of table games, providing Garden State customers with first-class online gaming experience.
The CEO Resorts Digital Gaming, Ed Andrewes, commented, “Scientific Games has been a primary supplier for Resorts Digital Gaming for several years, which made it a simple decision to maintain our partnership. The Open Gaming platform provides content seamlessly. It has played a big part in making Resorts Casino one of New Jersey’s favorite online casinos.”
Digital Group CEO for Scientific Games, Jordan Levin, added, “As one of the leading operators in New Jersey, we’re proud to extend our long-standing partnership with Resorts. The renewal verifies the strength of our working relationship, as well as of our OpenGaming platform. We look forward to the partnership moving forward to even higher levels and increasing gains for both parties.”
What we cover
Scientific Games Also Partners with Wynn Resorts
Last spring, Scientific Games partnered with Wynn Resorts to launch Wynn Resorts’ unique online sports betting and online casino apps in the US. That was initially launched in New Jersey, using several Scientific Games services and products, including a sports betting and a managed sports trading service, as well as iGaming.
This month, Wynn expanded the partnership to power the Wynn Sports’ sports betting app in Colorado and Indiana. In those states, Scientific Games will support Wynn Sports via the OpenSportsplatform. Also, Wynn Sports will use the OpenPlatform, Scientific Games player account management system.
SportCaller Added to Scientific Games’ OpenMarket
Also within the last month, SportCaller added its more than 100 Free-to-Play sports-related titles to the OpenMarket platform. This will introduce SportsCaller games to a new network of online sportsbooks. Currently, SportsCaller games can be found on FanDuel, BetMGM, VirginBet, William Hill, and CBS Sports.
OpenMarket is Scientific Games’ industry-first aggregation platform for sports betting and sports-related games.
Cillian Barry, Managing Director at SportCaller, commented that, “Despite our sustained success and continued growth, we never rest on our laurels in this industry. That’s why this third-party collaboration with a provider as prestigious as Scientific Games made strategic sense.”
Barry went on to say, “Sportsbooks all over the world can now easily expand their portfolio of games through OpenMarket. The sports betting content platform makes access to the best products on the market easy. Scientific Games is absolutely one of the world’s leading players in digital gaming. We look forward to growing our influence globally, and tracking how our localized games perform in diverse territories, some of which break new ground for us.”
Scientific Games Puts in Place a Protection Plan for Top Executives
Scientific Games recently instituted a Change in Control Protection Plan to ensure that the company’s top executives receive substantial financial compensation if they are fired “without good reason” if the company changes ownership.
According to the plan, any executives terminated without just cause within 18 months of a regime change at the company will be entitled to hefty pay-outs.
The plan includes not only Barry Cottle, president, and chief executive, but also Michael Eklund, who fills the roles of executive vice-president, chief financial officer, treasurer, and corporate secretary. Finally, the plan includes the rest of the company’s senior leadership team.
The payouts would include the sum of the base salary as well as a severance bonus. That bonus would be doubled for Cottle.
