FanDuel is the latest official betting partner of the PGA Tour in yet another move by the Tour to add more mobile betting companies to its list of partners. We broke the news two weeks ago that PointsBet had signed up to be partners with the PGA tour. It is now sports betting and fantasy kings FanDuel’s turn to jump on board.
This is the third gambling company that has signed up to become an official betting partner of the tour following BetMGM’s announcement last month, which we covered. The online betting and gambling industry is growing at breakneck speed. This is a move that shows once again how much the PGA wants to get in on some of the action.

What Becoming an ‘Official Betting Partner’ Looks Like in Real Terms
This is a deal that makes FanDuel an official partner of the PGA Tour, but what does that mean? Becoming an official betting partner means that FanDuel will have the rights to advertise on many of the Tour’s platforms. The betting site will be able to create betting content which will be shown during the Tour’s coverage. FanDuel will also be allowed to use the PGA logo on its ads and content.

Yet Another Positive And Forward Thinking Move For FanDuel
FanDuel, much like rivals DraftKings, has flown against the wind in 2020. Unlike so many businesses within the gambling sphere, they have found consistent growth. What This Could Mean For Golf Fans
Although this is, of course, going to be a lucrative move for both the PGA Tour and FanDuel, benefits will extend to golf fans, too. In order to drum up the support and the promotion that they need, those who enjoy watching and betting on golf can expect some tasty offers. We have seen this in other sporting leagues like the NBA and NFL, where official partners dangle huge bonuses.

No Signs of Slowing Down
These official partnership deals are a great way for betting companies to gain access to both an audience and a sporting league or franchise. FanDuel has recognized this and they show no signs of slowing down in making such deals. The company already has a deal in place with the Denver Broncos; the first of its kind. Now with this deal with the PGA Tour and a possible deal with Cousin Sal in the works, the sportsbook clearly has big plans for the future.
