Scientific Games Corporation has partnered with Genius Sports Group to provide live-streaming in-game content to its sportsbook customers worldwide.
Scientific Games’ OpenSports platform will soon be able to utilize Genius Sports Group’s Live Data and Live Trading services. The streaming content includes NASCAR, the English Premier League, German Bundesliga, Serie A, and dozens of FIVB volleyball AND FIBA basketball leagues. Unfortunately, the deal excludes U.S. sports leagues. All sportsbooks operating on the platform will be able to feature the live streams.

Genius Sports Group’s LiveData and LiveTrading services have been chosen by more than 150 of the world’s biggest sports betting brands and are fully customizable for every client. Genius Sports Group along with its sports betting division, Betgenius, pioneered the market for this type of data across all types of sports. Today, the group offers its partners access to official sports data spanning more than 170,000 events each year.

In later August, Genius Sports Group announced plans to o go public in combination with NYSE-Listed dMY Technology Group II. The Pro-forma enterprise value of the combined company is valued at approximately $1.5 billion. The transaction features a $330 million fully committed private investment secured by experienced and institutional industry investors.
The combination will help to drive the expansion of Genius Sports Group as the leading provider of official sports data and technology platform powering sports betting apps worldwide.
The newly combined company is expected to have around $150 million in growth capital and a mostly debt-free balance sheet. This should work to quicken both its U.S. and global expansion through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

Over the past month, shares of Scientific Games have nearly doubled, due to several investments by institutional players. However, Scientific Games’ revenues declined by 18% decline during the third quarter despite all of the investment. As the travel and tourism industry gradually recovers from the COVID-19 shutdowns, further gains in Scientific Games stock will likely level out.
