Through the first half of 2023, the operator has paid out more than $23.2 million in progressive jackpot winnings to players at NJ online casinos. BetMGM NJ is the brand’s headline online casino in the Garden State, alongside sister iGaming sites Party Casino, Borgata Online Casino, and Party Poker.

In-House Game Yielded the Massive Jackpot
The Luck O’ The Jackpot slot game that yielded the $2.4 million jackpot prize was created in-house by Entain’s software development arm, Win Studios. It is exclusively available on BetMGM’s online casino platforms.
The St. Patrick’s-themed slot title has 20 pay lines and five reels, scattered wilds, bonus rounds, and five progressive jackpots. The grand The Big One Colossal Cash jackpot seeds from $1 million. It offers 192 bet ways and a betting range of between 5¢ and $150.
With a 95% RTP, the game has become popular among online casino bettors, especially in New Jersey, for its frequent jackpot wins. Three years ago, a New Jersey bettor named Sherri W. won a $3,266,476.20 Luck O’ The Jackpot jackpot, still the largest payout from the slot game to date.
Borgata and NJ Online Casino Partners Performing Robustly
In the realm of online gambling in New Jersey, the state’s gaming regulator categorizes various groups of operators under Atlantic City casino licenses or approved online entities for the purpose of revenue reporting. Unfortunately, this approach hinders the public from accessing precise revenue figures for individual operators.
However, it is worth noting that the New Jersey online casinos operating under Borgata’s esteemed casino license have consistently emerged as the top performers in the state.
In 2022, when NJ casinos posted a record $5.2 billion revenue, BetMGM, Borgata, and the other iGaming co-licensees generated close to half a million dollars, beating out Golden Nugget Atlantic City and its licensee partners by nearly 14 percent.
The market leader Borgata collected almost $105 million from bettors in June 2023, with 40 million won from online casino players, as reported by ABC News. Through the first half of 2023, the grouping has posted beyond $251 million in online gaming revenue, also surpassing its closest rival, Golden Nugget AC and its iGaming partners.

Final Thoughts
The jackpot win is a significant boost for Borgata Online Casino, which has been facing increasing competition from other online casinos in New Jersey. In 2022, Borgata Online Casino ranked third in terms of revenue, behind DraftKings and BetMGM. However, the jackpot win could help Borgata Online Casino regain some market share.
