UniBet and the Philadelphia Eagles have teamed up to launch the first sports-themed online casino app in the country. As an official partner of the team, Unibet PA is poised to launch Eagles Blackjack, to be followed by Eagles Slots in Pennsylvania. The Philadelphia Eagles are the first major pro sports team in the country to partner with an online casino, allowing them to craft their brand into real-money casino games.
Last year, Unibet become the official online casino partner of the Eagles. That partnership recently expanded to include Unibet’s online sportsbook.

On October 26, 2017, the Pennsylvania State House passed a bill legalizing online gambling in the state. On October 30, 2017, Governor Tom Wolf signed the bill into law.
While land-based casino gambling in the Keystone State has been legal only for around a decade, Pennsylvania is second only to Nevada when it comes to land-based casino revenue.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board was established in 2004, and oversees all gambling in the state. Gambling in Pennsylvania runs the gamut from the brick-and-mortar casinos, horse racing, sports betting, the Pennsylvania Lottery, bingo, and fantasy sports.
Residents of the Keystone State’s neighbor to the west, Ohio, had to travel to Pennsylvania to enjoy a weekend of gambling until 2009, when Ohio legalized four casinos in the state, one each in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, and Toledo. At the time, it was anticipated that the four casinos would generate $600 million in tax revenue, to be distributed to local governments and school districts around the state. Today, there are 11 casinos throughout the state of Ohio. Only this year, the Buckeye State passed House Bill 194, legalizing online gambling and sports betting in Ohio.
