What we cover
A Good Year for BetMGM and its Workers
“It’s been a fantastic year of growth for BetMGM. We tripled our team members to 350, and were able to grow our business. More important, we infused our new team members with the values that make BetMGM a great place to work,” said Adam Greenblatt, BetMGM CEO. “We credit our success to the high-touch approach of our leadership during this time of remote working. We strive for clarity of purpose and transparency, sharing our journey with the whole business. We’re extremely proud to receive this award from Glassdoor. It’s a testament to the high performing, a collaborative workplace we’ve been able to cultivate.”
Employees love Adam Greenblatt; fifty employees gave their CEO a 100% positive rating. The company also rated 4.8 out of 5 for diversity and inclusion. The pay is decent too, ranging between $40K and $95K per year.
Robin Farley, an analyst for UBS, thinks investors should consider BetMGM, due to its positive momentum building up its US domestic sports betting market. BetMGM is currently in eight US markets, but by 2025, that could include 38 sports betting states and 13 more states for the online casino. As Farley noted, BetMGM could see a potential market value exceeding $20 billion.
In October, the BetMGM sportsbook reached an overall market share of 12.5% across the US market, positioning it as the top-three operator in the country, after DraftKings and FanDuel.
Glassdoor Awards are Prestigious
Employees voluntarily and anonymously shared their feedback about their employers on the Glassdoor platform. The Glassdoor Employees’ Choice Award is based on that feedback. Glassdoor evaluates every company reviewed by employees on its platform over the year, to determine the winners.
Glassdoor CEO, Christian Sutherland-Wong, said, “COVID-19 is in the driving force and every company has been impacted. This year’s winners have proven, according to their workers, that even during unprecedented times, the company will rise to the challenge of supporting their team. Transparent leadership, a mission-driven culture, and career opportunities are always earmarks of Best Places to Work winners. For 2020, we also recognized exceptional employers who prioritized the health, safety, and well-being of their team members. My congratulations go to all of this year’s exceptional Employees’ Choice Award winners.”
