The beach season at Jersey Shore is coming to a close but that does not mean that it goes out with the news cycle of the Atlantic City casinos. With September here with us, a lot is happening in the NFL related to viewing and NJ sports betting. Considering that the industry has been growing tremendously over the past year, some of the industry updates are about fresh restaurants in AC. One of the nationally recognized spots is reported to be planning for a special event upon the arrival of Ringo Starr from The Beatles.
What we cover
Casinos in Atlantic City Pacesetting for NFL Viewing
The NFL season is here and most people will be looking at the nine Atlantic City casino sportsbooks as the only places to catch the gaming action. Well, that could not be further from the truth; as a matter of fact, booking a seat close to the action is not a prerequisite for placing parlay wagers and point spreads. There is no doubt that players will find some video walls to be captivating, but AC casinos are known for their dynamic viewing selection.
The Yard of Bally’s – this beer garden has both indoor and outdoor facilities and is located in the courtyard of the Bally’s premises in AC. This is where gambling enthusiasts flock for a treat of $5 beer specials, craft cocktails, beer buckets, and good food combined with Sunday NFL games (as well as Monday and Thursday night action). Every time the weather is good for it, the roof gets opened up.
For those who are looking for an experience like they have never had before, they will find the Gallery Bar, Book, and Games, quite intriguing. The hidden gem of the city is the Balcony Bar, which connects through an open-air staircase that is 17 feet long.
Technically, the pool season that takes place at the Jersey Shore is over but the fun is still going on. With a state-of-the-art indoor pool like the Harrah’s Resort facility, the part never stops. The pool recently hosted a Super Bowl party to successful completion and the Sunday Splash Kick Off has been transformed into a weekly affair.
Guests willing to participate pay an admission fee of $20 and this allows them access to facilities even when the weather might not ordinarily permit it. In addition to that, guests will enjoy food, drinks, and music mixes from live DJs. For those who fancy the New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles or New York Jets live in action from an AC casino seat, this is the best venue from which to watch your bet running down.
Hard Rock AC Hosts Ringo Starr Charity Event for the Lotus Foundation
Everybody has heard about the Beatles and Ringo Starr is a former member of the group. On the last Saturday of September, Starr will be taking to the stage at the Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena. On the last two days before this appearance, the former band member will have attended a limited-run art exhibition and sale at Hard Rock AC for a charitable course. At least 40 creative pieces will be showcased at the exhibition and the proceeds targeted towards helping the Lotus Foundation.
The Lotus Foundation is committed to funding, supporting, participating, and promoting charity-based projects which are committed to advancing social welfare in different locations. According to the press release that revealed the schedule of the band star, every piece in the exhibition will be individually indexed and signed by Starr. He has an art book, “Painting is my Madness Too – The ART of Ringo Starr,” which will also be available at the same location.
Commenting on the long-awaited event, the President of Hard Rock Casino in AC, Anthony Faranca, described the event as a giving back session for their guests. He promised that every person who takes time to experience what they have planned is going to benefit from a unique and dynamic casino experience. The attention will obviously be on Ringo Starr but Faranca believes that attendees will get an opportunity to contribute to the welfare of underserved communities courtesy of the Lotus Foundation. Art lovers better make time for attending the free exhibit which will be held on September 21, 22, and 23.
Halloween bar in AC
Regulars of the Resorts Casino Hotel are familiar with the many changes that the property makes to its ambiance regularly. Due to the changes that are done to the interiors, it is important for casino players to visit regularly to keep up with the changing themes. The next holiday that is coming p is Halloween which is slightly over a month from now. The management of Resorts has decided that Bar One within its premises will be transformed into the Pink Pumpkin.
With the Halloween-themed pop-up bar, the casino will conduct breast cancer awareness amid the spooky theme. The space will open from Sept. 19 to Oct. 31. The most important aspect is that the pink theme proceeds will be channeled to the Real Men Wear Pink Campaign.
Old Homestead at Borgata closed for renovations
Borgata AC players definitely know about the Old Homestead and especially those that appreciate a meal out. There is no cause for worry though because the information that has been availed to the press reveals that the restaurant has been scheduled to reopen towards the end of the year. For a process that begun on 9/12/22, it is not going to be a long wait for those that appreciate its delicacies.
In the meantime, the property has decided to establish a pop-up Old Homestead point at a space that had earlier been used by Fornelletto (just off the casino floor). A select menu will be offered at this location starting from early October according to information that has been shared with the public.
Final Thoughts
Casinos in the Atlantic City space have planned for a lot of activities that are ultimately aimed at improving their quality of delivery to their customers. This means that the city might be nothing like it is today when all the changes have been completed. For now, enjoy the current space but look forward to a great experience once all the renovation work is concluded.
